Shatranj - the ancient word for chess, and the pattern that inspired it. Each coaster is hand-assembled from alternating squares of Rosso Levanto and Calacatta Viola marble. The deep burgundy of the Rosso against the pale, lilac-veined white of the Calacatta - two stones that are striking on their own and genuinely beautiful together.
Sold as a set of four. Veining and tone will vary slightly across each piece - a product of the stone, not the process.
